The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) continues to strengthen its commitment to improving access to healthcare services by providing essential medicines to local communities through its Medicine Donation Program.
On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, the PCSO, through the Medical Services Department, turned over medicines worth ₱60,000 to the 2nd District of Caloocan City during a simple ceremony held at the Conservatory Building in Mandaluyong City.
Representing the agency during the turnover was Nurse II Joanne Alonzo, who formally handed over the requested medicines to Project Officer Ma. Pilar F. Afan. The medicines were requested by Representative Edgar R. Erice and will be distributed to residents of the 2nd District of Caloocan, City.
The donated medicines are expected to benefit numerous constituents, particularly individuals and families who have limited access to basic healthcare services and essential medications. Through the initiative, the local government aims to address the medical needs of vulnerable sectors while helping ease the financial burden of procuring medicines.
The Medicine Donation Program remains one of the PCSO’s key healthcare initiatives designed to complement the government’s efforts in promoting accessible and affordable healthcare nationwide. Through continued collaboration with local government units, communities, and partner institutions, PCSO provides timely and responsive healthcare interventions, reaffirming its commitment to improving the overall well-being of Filipinos and bringing quality healthcare support closer to the people.
