The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) took part in the 2026 Candle Festival in the municipality of Candelaria, Quezon by conducting a Medical and Dental Mission (MDM) for local residents on January 30, 2026.
The medical activity was led by the PCSO Medical Services Department, under the supervision of Dr. Rouel Aparato, delivering a range of healthcare services to festival attendees. The program aimed to provide immediate medical assistance and consultations to community members, particularly those requiring prompt care and attention.
As part of the event, PCSO Director Imelda Papin delighted patients and residents with a special musical performance featuring some of her popular songs. Her participation added energy and excitement to the celebration, uplifting those waiting for medical services.
Leodigario “Tatay Luding” Boongaling, President of the LBB Foundation and Chairman of the 2026 Candle Festival, expressed profound gratitude to PCSO for extending free medical consultations and medicines to the people of Candelaria.
More than 100 individuals benefited from the Medical and Dental Mission, including senior citizens, single parents, and members of the LGBT community from the LLC Bahaghari Association.
The initiative reflects PCSO’s continuing mandate to deliver health services and medical support to underprivileged Filipinos, especially those suffering from illnesses and lacking access to adequate healthcare.
