PCSO REMITS ₱26.54M IN MANDATORY CONTRIBUTIONS TO CHED, NCDA, PSC

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) released a total of ₱26,537,714.41 in mandatory contributions to three government agencies during a turnover ceremony led by PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles on Friday, January 23, 2026, at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City.

The remittances represent PCSO’s legally mandated share from lottery proceeds, which are regularly allocated to beneficiary institutions in support of education, social welfare services, and sports development.

Of the total amount released, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) received the largest allocation at ₱25,865,494.75, covering the period of December 2025. The check was received by Lorenzo Manuel Amado, Project Development Officer of CHED, and Myra Paz Manalo, Chief Accountant of the Higher Education Development and Participation Services (HEDPS). The fund support is intended to augment CHED programs and initiatives aimed at improving access to quality higher education nationwide.

Also among the recipients was the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA), which received ₱396,608.46, represented by Dan Lorenze Del Rosario. The amount was sourced from the proceeds of the 6D Lotto draw held on December 2, 2025, and will be used to support programs and services for persons with disabilities.

The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) was awarded ₱275,611.20, with Dr. Christopher Gacutan, Chief of the Management Services Division, receiving the check on behalf of the agency. The contribution will help support sports-related initiatives and athlete development programs.

PCSO said the release underscores its continuing compliance with its statutory obligation to allocate a portion of lottery revenues to partner government institutions, ensuring that proceeds from its gaming operations translate into direct public benefit.
