MANDALUYONG CITY – The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) reaffirmed its commitment to community welfare through the turnover of ChariTimba food assistance packages to beneficiaries from the Municipality of Jaen, Nueva Ecija during a ceremony held at the PCSO Main Office on September 22, 2026.
The turnover ceremony was led by PCSO Director Jennifer ELiongson-Guevara and Assistant General Manager for the Charity Sector Atty. Lauro Patiag, who formally handed over the ChariTimba packages to Mayor Sylvester Austria.
Mayor Austria expressed his gratitude to the PCSO and shared that the assistance would be distributed to residents of Jaen, particularly senior citizens. He emphasized that the support would help address the needs of vulnerable members of the community and provide relief to those who need it most.
The mayor also acknowledged the agency’s continuing efforts to extend assistance to local government units and underserved sectors. He noted that the ChariTimba pails would serve as a lasting symbol of the PCSO’s compassion and commitment to public service, reminding residents of the agency’s support during times of need.
“Sa tuwing makikita nila ang mga timbang ito ay maaalala nila na minsan ay natulungan sila ng PCSO at ito ay habang buhay na nilang ipagpapasalamat sa PCSO,” Austria said.
The activity was conducted under the PCSO Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, which seeks to provide meaningful assistance to communities through initiatives that promote the welfare and well-being of Filipinos, particularly those belonging to vulnerable and underserved sectors.
