Residents of Barangay Sadsadan, Bauko, Mountain Province are set to benefit from various medicines, mobility aids, and medical devices provided by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) during a turnover ceremony held at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City on September 7, 2026.
Among the items turned over were wheelchairs, canes, walkers, blood pressure monitors, pulse oximeters, glucometers, nebulizers, and oxygen tanks. The medical supplies and equipment are expected to help address the healthcare needs of residents, particularly families with limited access to essential medical services.
PCSO Assistant General Manager for Gaming, Product Development and Marketing Sector Atty. Lyssa Grace Pagano led the turnover of the assistance to Barangay Sadsadan Chairman Shearbourn Lawilao.
Lawilao expressed his appreciation for the assistance, emphasizing its importance to families in their community who regularly seek help from the barangay.
He also highlighted the challenges faced by residents due to the barangay’s mountainous location in the Cordillera region, particularly in accessing medicines and other essential healthcare services.
According to Lawilao, the assistance will make essential medicines and medical equipment more accessible to residents, reducing the need to travel to the town center to seek medical support.
The turnover was conducted under the PCSO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Medicine Donation Program, which aims to strengthen the agency’s charitable initiatives and extend healthcare assistance to more communities and Filipinos in need.
