Tinanggap na ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang pagbibitiw sa pwesto ng officer-in-charge ng Department of National Defense (DND) senior undersecretary Jose Faustino Jr.
Kasabay nito ang pag-anunsyo ng Office of the Press Secretary (OPS) na agad nakahanap ng kapalit ang Pangulo para pamunuan ang DND.
Kinumpirma ni PCO officer-in-charge Cheloy Garafil sa isang press statement na tinanggap na ni Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr. ang alok sa kanya ng pangulo na pamunuan ang DND.
“It is with deep regret that the President has accepted the resignation of DND OIC Sr. Usec. Jose Faustino Jr. The President has offered the position of DND Secretary to Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr. and he has accepted,” ani Garafil.
