MANDALUYONG CITY — The Municipality of Sta. Catalina, Ilocos Sur received boxes of medicines from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) during a turnover ceremony held on Jan. 29, 2026 at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City.
PCSO Assistant General Manager for the Gaming Sector, Atty. Lyssa Grace S. Pagano, formally turned over the medicines, which Mayor Eugene Rapanut received on behalf of the municipality, together with Vice Mayor Edgar Rapanut
The assistance is intended to augment the municipality’s health resources and help address the medical needs of residents, particularly in communities with limited access to healthcare support.
Sta. Catalina is classified as a fifth-class municipality, and PCSO underscored the importance of extending medical assistance to LGUs with limited resources, particularly to help address the healthcare needs of residents during times of illness.
The donation forms part of PCSO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, which supports local government units by providing timely, targeted assistance to communities, particularly in underserved areas, and is aligned with the government’s priority of improving access to health services and promoting the overall well-being of Filipinos.
