A resident of Tarlac, currently unemployed and living with his parents, has claimed half of the ₱200-million jackpot of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s Ultra Lotto 6/58 drawn on January 25, 2026.
The claimant, in his mid-30s, was one of two jackpot winners for the draw after matching the winning combination 39-37-04-11-02-09, which entitled him to one of two equal shares of the jackpot.
He shared that he had been struggling to find stable employment prior to his win. Despite his situation, he said he remained hopeful and continued to participate in the lottery.
The winner recalled keeping his composure upon realizing he had hit the winning numbers, choosing to keep the news to himself and avoid drawing attention. He said he focused on ensuring his ticket was secured and that he could process his claim properly.
According to the bettor, he plans to use the prize money to settle long-standing financial obligations and to give back to his parents, whom he credited for supporting him through difficult periods. “Malaking utang na loob ko sa kanila,” he said.
Looking ahead, he expressed determination to manage his winnings wisely and work toward long-term stability for his family.
PCSO continues to remind the public that lottery games are meant for responsible entertainment. Players are encouraged to set limits and spend only what they can afford, as proceeds help fund health and social welfare programs nationwide.
