The unidentified police officer whose video went viral weeks ago ‘threatening’ a civilian motorist was finally identified personally by Ben Tulfo, host of #IpaBITAG mo.
At the office of PBGen Remus Medina, Quezon City Police District Director, at Kampo Karingal, subject policeman was personally presented by PBGen Medina to #IpaBITAG Mo and identified as PCpl Lenzi Tolyaden Managtag, currently on a floating status.
According to BGen Medina, upon learning the incident involving Cpl. Managtag, he instructed his men to coordinate with the Makati police about the viral video. When confronted, Cpl Managtag admitted that he was the guy on the viral video, the QCPD Director said.
Immediately, Managtag was put in the holding center at Camp Karingal while the case is being investigated and heard against him, the District Director said.
Meanwhile, Ben Tulfo said the ‘hunt’ on the mystery cop – now identified as Cpl Managtag- is over. Mr. Tulfo expressed appreciation on the leadership of QCPD for taking tough action against erring cop.
When asked by Mr Tulfo, if he has anything to say, this was Managtag’s very brief statement “Unang-una po humihingi ako paumanhin sa rider…kung ano man po ang nasabi ko … kung ano kong aksiyon doon … sana po mapatawag ako ng rider.”
