BARANGAY IN MANILA’S DISTRICT V RECEIVES EVACUATION KITS FROM PCSO

MANDALUYONG CITY — A barangay in Manila’s District V received 44 bags of evacuation kits from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) during a turnover ceremony held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City.

The assistance was turned over to Barangay 773, Zone 84, as part of PCSO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at supporting communities vulnerable to emergencies and calamities. The activity was led by PCSO representative Pilar Cruz, who formally handed over the kits to help strengthen the barangay’s disaster preparedness efforts.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the barangay was Kagawad Divina Gracia Carballo Ares, who expressed gratitude to PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles for approving the request. She noted that the kits will be used to address immediate needs during emergencies, including typhoons and sudden flooding, and to support response measures during other unforeseen crises.

Through initiatives such as this, PCSO continues to reaffirm its commitment to community welfare and disaster resilience by extending timely and vital support to local government units and communities across the country.
