MANDALUYONG CITY – As part of its continuing commitment to delivering meaningful charitable services to communities, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) donated 30 each of the following healthcare devices: wheelchairs, blood pressure apparatuses, and weighing scales to beneficiaries in the 4th District of Quezon Province during a turnover ceremony held on August 13, 2026, at the PCSO Main Office.
The ceremonial turnover was led by PCSO Executive Assistant Atty. Maria Katrina Nicole Ventanilla, who formally handed over the donated equipment to Atty. Christian Louie Salazar, Political Affairs Officer III and representative of Quezon 4th District Representative Keith Micah “Atty. Mike” Tan.
In a message conveyed through his representative, Rep. Tan expressed his gratitude to the PCSO for its continued partnership and support for community welfare initiatives. He emphasized that the donated equipment would significantly help address the needs of residents in the district, particularly senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and other individuals requiring additional healthcare assistance.
According to Rep. Tan, the wheelchairs will help improve the mobility and independence of beneficiaries, while the blood pressure apparatuses and weighing scales will serve as essential tools for monitoring and promoting the health and well-being of community members.
He also underscored the importance of the donation in strengthening local health programs and expanding the availability of basic healthcare resources within the district. The provision of these medical and mobility support equipment, he said, will enable
communities to better serve vulnerable sectors and improve the delivery of primary healthcare services.
The initiative forms part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program of the PCSO, which aims to provide assistance and support to various sectors of society through charitable projects and community-focused programs.
Through its CSR initiatives, the agency continues to extend meaningful aid to underserved communities and contribute to the improvement of public welfare nationwide.
By implementing programs such as these, the PCSO reaffirms its commitment to enhancing the quality of life of Filipinos, particularly those belonging to vulnerable sectors, through compassionate, inclusive, and responsive public service.
