BITAG AND CICC DECLARE WAR AGAINST ONLINE SCAMS

QUEZON CITY, Philippines — On March 5, 2026, Ben BITAG and BITAG Next Gen Carl Tulfo joined forces with the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) to fight the rising number of online scams in the country.

During the Pambansang Sumbungan BITAG  program, CICC Executive Director Usec. Aboy Paraiso officially joined BITAG’s declaration of war against all forms of cyber fraud.

The Fight Against “Piso Mura” and Love Scams

The discussion focused on common online traps, such as the “Piso Mura Bagsak Presyo Scam” and the heart-breaking “Love Scams.” Usec. Paraiso explained that these crimes do not just hurt individuals; they damage the country’s economy.

“We must be angry at online fraud,” Usec. Paraiso said. He also reminded the public to stop “victim blaming” those who fall for these scams. Instead, he encouraged victims to come forward so the CICC can track down the criminals behind the screens.

A Smarter Way to Report: The QR Code Partnership

To make reporting faster and easier, BITAG and CICC are working on a technical collaboration.

Soon, the BITAG QR Code will be linked directly to the CICC. If a person reports an online scam through BITAG’s system, the data will be sent immediately to the CICC for action. This creates a “direct channel” for justice in cyberspace.

How to get help now:

  • CICC Hotline: Dial 1326
  • CICC Social Media: Reach out to their official pages.
  • BITAG QR Code: Scan the BITAG LinkTree QR Code

As Ben BITAG always says: “Nasa amin ang babala, nasa inyo ang pag-iingat.” (The warning is from us; the safety is up to you.)
