The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) reinforced its commitment to bringing healthcare services closer to communities by donating P60,000 worth of medicines to the Municipality of Cabiao, Nueva Ecija, under its Medicine Donation Program. The turnover was led by PCSO Assistant General Manager for the Charity Sector, Atty. Lauro A. Patiag on August 12, 2026, at the Conservatory Building in Mandaluyong City.
Cabiao Mayor Ray Kevin Rivera personally received the medicines, which will be distributed to residents across the municipality to help address their immediate healthcare needs.
The donation forms part of the agency’s continuing efforts to expand access to essential medicines, particularly among communities with limited resources. Through the Medicine Donation Program, the PCSO seeks to support local government units by providing medical assistance that directly benefits their constituents.
Mayor Rivera expressed his gratitude to the PCSO management, particularly to General Manager Melquiades A. Robles, for the swift approval of the municipality’s request.
He emphasized that the donated medicines would greatly benefit residents who rely on government support for their healthcare needs, adding that the assistance would help ease the burden of families struggling to afford basic medication.
The turnover also highlights the continuing partnership between PCSO and local government units in promoting accessible and responsive healthcare services at the grassroots level.
As one of the agency’s flagship social service initiatives, the Medicine Donation Program remains an important component of PCSO’s mission to deliver timely and meaningful assistance to Filipinos, especially those living in underserved communities.
