Patay ang mismong leader ng notorious Flores criminal group matapos manlaban sa mga operatiba ng Mabalacat, Pampanga noong Miyerkules, Enero 25.
Ayon kay Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen, director of the Police Regional Office-Central Luzon (PRO-3), napatay ang suspek habang isinagawa nila ang manhunt operation bitbit ang warrant of arrest laban kay Kenneth Flores.
“The suspect attempted to escape and fired at the police officers who were serving the warrant of arrest for a double murder case against him. However, in the counter-response, he got shot,” ayon kay Pasiwen.
Si Flores ang panglimang suspek sa pagpatay sa dalawang anti-drug police officers na sina Staff Master Sgt. Sofronio Capitle Jr. at Staff Sgt. Dominador Gacusa Jr. noong Disyembre 3, na kapwa myembro ng Mabalacat City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit.

Naisugod pa ng mga awtoridad si Flores sa Mabalacat District Hospital pero idineklara na itong dead on arrival. Narekober mula sa suspek ang isang (1) caliber .45 pistol at (1) hand grenade.
Nauna nang sinabi ni Pasiwen na nadakip na nila ang tatlong kasama ni Flores noon ding Disyembre 3 habang napatay naman ang isa pa sa shootout ilang oras pagkatapos mapatay ng mga salarin ang dalawang pulis-Mabalacat.
“We did not stop conducting operations against those involved in the deaths of our two PNP (Philippine National Police) personnel and all our efforts paid off,” pahayag ng PRO3 Director.
