The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has provided medicines to communities in Tagoloan, Lanao del Norte and Mercedes, Camarines Norte through separate turnovers on September 29, 2026, at the PCSO Main Office in Mandaluyong City.
The first turnover was for the Municipality of Tagoloan, Lanao del Norte, which was personally received by Municipal Mayor Leslie Glendee Dimakuta. According to Mayor Dimakuta, the donated medicines will be distributed to residents affected by the recent “habagat,” or southwest monsoon, to help address their medical needs following the weather disturbance.
The second turnover was for the Municipality of Mercedes, Camarines Norte, personally received by Councilor Sofia Shane Riel. The donated medicines will support the municipality’s efforts to provide needed medical assistance to residents, particularly those who require medicines but may have difficulty accessing them.
Both initiatives were led by Nurse Ruby Octava of the PCSO Medical Services Department (MSD) under the agency’s Medicine Donation Program, in which PCSO continues to extend assistance to local government units and communities by providing medicines to help address the healthcare needs of Filipinos.
