MANDALUYONG CITY – The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) donated wheelchairs to the 2nd District of Caloocan City during a turnover ceremony held at the agency’s Main Office along Shaw Boulevard on September 23, 2026.
The ceremony was led by Corporate Planning Department Manager, Atty. Anna Liza Inciong. The event underscored the agency’s continuing commitment to providing assistance and support to vulnerable sectors of society through its various social responsibility programs.
The donated wheelchairs were formally received by Ma. Pilar Afan, Project Officer-Social Services and representative of Caloocan 2nd District Congressman Edgar Erice.
Afan expressed her gratitude to PCSO for the donation, emphasizing its importance to residents who require mobility assistance.
According to Afan, the wheelchairs will greatly benefit senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the district, particularly those who face challenges in carrying out their daily activities due to limited mobility. She noted that access to mobility aids can significantly improve the quality of life of beneficiaries by enabling them to become more independent and active members of their communities.
The turnover was conducted under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program of PCSO, which reflects the agency’s ongoing efforts to foster inclusive and compassionate public service, ensuring that assistance reaches individuals and communities who can benefit most from such interventions.
By partnering with local government units and community representatives, the agency continues to strengthen its mission of providing hope, accessibility, and opportunities for a better quality of life for Filipinos nationwide.
