PCSO BOOSTS HEALTHCARE IN POLA, ORIENTAL MINDORO THROUGH MEDICINE DONATION PROGRAM

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) provided much-needed medical assistance to residents of the Municipality of Pola, Oriental Mindoro through the donation of various medicines worth P30,000 each to Barangay Zone II and Barangay Banayan during a ceremonial turnover held at the Conservatory Building in Mandaluyong City on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

Barangay Zone II Chairperson Joseph Allain Pantilanan and Barangay Banayan Chairperson Godfrey Martinez personally received the donations on behalf of their respective communities, underscoring the vital role of local government units in ensuring that essential healthcare services reach underserved residents.

The initiative forms part of PCSO’s continuing efforts to expand access to basic healthcare and provide immediate medical support to communities, particularly at the barangay level where healthcare interventions are most needed.

The recipients expressed their sincere appreciation to the PCSO management, led by General Manager Melquiades A. Robles, for continuously extending assistance to communities through programs that directly address the medical needs of Filipinos.

Facilitating the turnover ceremony was Nurse IV Emojean Gogola of the Medical Services Department, who highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts between government agencies and local communities in promoting public health and improving the delivery of essential medical services.

Through the Medicine Donation Program, PCSO remains steadfast in its mission of bringing quality healthcare closer to communities, reaffirming its commitment to ensuring that every Filipino has greater access to essential medicines and healthcare support.
